Who I Am
I am a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist practicing in Fairfield County. My approach to therapy is person-centered: my role is to listen, observe and meet you where you are. Your stories, needs, darkest hours and brightest moments take center stage when you are in my office.
Choosing to be in therapy is a big step. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. I provide counseling and psychotherapy that is collaborative and results oriented. Informed by your personal style and level of motivation, I use psychodynamic and behavioral therapies to help you set and achieve realistic goals. I am guided by the belief that the quality of my therapeutic relationship with you is a core and primary component to your treatment.
My areas of specialty include helping clients recover from divorce, equipping co-parents to effectively work together, and helping teenagers benefit from therapy. I also enjoy working with adult clients on a wide variety of individual concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, and abuse recovery.

Is this normal?
Who is this moody, strange, alien creature living in my house? And how do I talk to it?
If this sounds like you, I encourage you to read on.
My experience as a high school mental health counselor enables me to help teens deal with social and academic-induced anxiety. I teach teens coping and stress management skills that empower them to maximize academic performance, exercise self advocacy, and resolve the inevitable social snags.
Are you worried about the effects of your divorce on your children?
As a Facilitator in Fairfield County for the Connecticut state-mandated Parent Education Class (PEP), I am experienced in teaching strategies that can reduce the harmful effects of family disruption on children. I coach parents who are in the process of divorce or who are recently divorced how to de-escalate conflict, reduce anxiety, and make the optimal parenting choices for their children.
I can work with parents together or individually.
Do you feel overwhelmed? Lost? Isolated? It is natural to experience these emotions during and after a critical life changing event.
But...this is the perfect time to recreate your life.
Let's get you started on that journey.
This is a support group for any parent who is going through the divorce process or is creating a "new normal" after divorce. The group is attended by parents from towns throughout Fairfield County.
